A couple of hours ago, whilst in the car on the on the way to Tesco, we were listening to Dev standing in for Greg James on radio 1. He was asking the group of people that they have in the studio on a friday, if there is anything that they would like to hear more of on the radio and to my surprise one of them said “one man bands”.

Dev talked about this for a minute before asking for any one man bands who were listening to text in…. so i did.

Less than a minute later my phone rang. On the other end was a very pleasant sounding young woman. She said that she was calling from Radio 1 and proceeded to ask me an astonishing number of questions for such a small space of time. The last question being whether I would be willing to have a chat to Dev about my one man band live on air.

Of coarse i said that i would and after few seconds she passed me to Dev who quickly greeted me and prepped me for going on air a moment later.

It was all rather sudden, so i cant really remember what i had to say for myself, but all in all it was a pretty cool experience….
