Winter BBQ
Had a crakin BBQ with the family the other night. It may be cold outside, but it’d been lovely weather all day and i didnt want to let it go to waste, so we pulled the bbq up close, turned the patio heater up full and it was toasty! Jerk Chicken, a few beers (well 3 stubbies, cos im a proper light weight) and I even pulled out the pink ukulele for a few tunes.
The photo was taken at the end of the night when it started getting really cold, as you can see were getting as close to the patio heater as possible….. Man, winter BBQ’s rock!!!

Live In Illogan
I had a real nice night last night, playing at a small pub in Illogan. It wasnt very busy, but I had a real good response from the few who were there.
The best thing about the night was that its the local pub of one of my best friends Timmo, who came along with another one of our other best friends Rich. Both of the boys were really into it which made it all the more fun for me, feeling like I was just playing a private gig for my mates, especially since Timmo hadnt seen me play live before!
After the gig it was back to Timmos for some hot chocolate and a good natter. Now you cant get much better than that!!
The moral of the story: If anyone has a local pub where they would like to see me play, give me a shout and we’ll see what we can do…..

Tri-amp Setup
Just been having some fun in the garage, that i thought id share with you… Ive been trying out a tri-amp setup! By adding an additional, different sounding guitar amp to my usual guitar and bass amp setup, I can add a bit of extra depth to my sound! Im pretty sure the neighbours felt the extra deph and i had a damn good time trying it out!
My Pink Ukulele
Check out my pink Ukulele. I got it at the weekend from City Music in Truro… All the other colours were £18, but for some unknown reason the pink ones werent selling very well, so they were only £12.60, bargin! I used it on sunday afternoons gig to do a ukulele version of enter sandman….
